FRESH from a trip to Glastonbury, Chippenham singer-songwriter Jarid Clark has formed a new indie rock band called Narrowcliff.

The 23-year-old voice of the hugely successful Chippenham BID Christmas video has enjoyed a brilliant year as a solo artist, with one of his tracks selcted to appear on a worldwide Sony album A Breath Of Fresh Air.

Now he is joining forces with Ali Hoff (guitar/vox), Dave Gray (bass) and Steve Jones (drums) in the fourpiece which, according to Jarid, will play “original music that is upbeat, with hard hitting riffs. Inspired by the Foals sound.”

He added: “It’s a really exciting time, and working hard with the boys at practice we are all really excited to start gigging.

“We are aiming high and looking to achieve a solid status in the UK music circuit.”

You can find Narrowcliff playing live at Chipfest Rockin the park at John Coles Park on Saturday 2nd July, starting at 12pm. Other bands on the line up include, Basement83, The Lindsey Miller Band, Idestroy, Mike Dennis and Bristol reggae outfit Ansum and the vibes.

You can find the Narrowcliff Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/Narrowcliff/.
